We are
located less than a mile from the famed Poindexter Slough, a top rated spot on the Beaverhead River, one of the highest regarded blue ribbon
fly fishing streams in the United States. Goose Down is also just a short jaunt from the Big Hole, Madison, Jefferson and Ruby rivers that teem with large and feisty German Browns, rainbows and brook trout.
If you choose to take a
gander on the lake, day excursions are available on Clark Canyon Dam. This is a year round fishing hole of eight square miles.
When the ice fishing season concludes, fisherman may opt to fish from shore, float tube, or boat. Resident rainbow, brown trout and ling cod with weights ranging from 7lbs. to 9 lbs. are not uncommon.
